Lamu Yoga Festival (LYF) and Banana House are excited to host the first 200 hour yoga teacher training with Payal Gori and Leyla Meredith as a perfect supplement to the festival. If you want to be a mindful, creative and impact oriented yoga teacher; this is the perfect opportunity for you.
This is a 21-day programme with Sundays off to enjoy the beautiful island. During the YTT you will delve into yogic philosophy, the history of yoga, pranayama, meditation techniques, anatomy of the physical and subtle body, seva community service, creative sequencing and so much more. You will learn from various guest teachers to add depth to your practice and teaching. This course will be with a strong focus on vinyasa with a BONUS YIN IMMERSION where you will learn about traditional Chinese medicine, meridians and how to lead and sequence yin classes.
Both Payal and Leyla believe that a yoga teacher can make a huge impact on a person and on a community.
By integrating breath, meditation and philosophy in every class they bring depth and create a wholesome, integrated yoga practice. Through this course, they will guide you to finding your unique voice, you will get an opportunity to deepen your yoga practice and leave feeling confident and competent to lead a vinyasa class.
