Yoga classes are daily from 9-10am and 5-6pm. We also teach private classes and meditation.
We have four teachers:
Monika, the owner of Banana House, who’s passion is Yoga and her teachings make you smile and enjoy the moment. Her style is gentle though strengthening, for beginners and advanced practitioners. Inspired by HH Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. Founder of Art of Living Art of Living and International Association of Human Values experiencing what the daily practice of Art of Living benefits her and her family, she strongly felt the need to offer the knowledge and the practice to all people who are interested in enjoying life, living stress free, and having a smile on their faces! Monika qualified as an Art of Living teacher in April 2009 and gives the happiness course herself.
Kelly, a formal primary school teacher and bodybuilder, trained by the Africa Yoga Project, a fantastic project which promotes yoga for locals to empower and strengthens the community. Kelly is gentle in teaching, strong & flexible in his body and calm mind. An amazing teacher who inspires many other local Africans to start practicing yoga.
Paska, our enthusiast teacher trained by Africa Yoga Project and Karuna Yoga. Paska teaches also community classes with the secondary girls Bright School and Kijani School. A very warm and dedicated teacher.
Awham, our first local Swahili teacher, who inspires other local men to start practicing yoga. Very flexible and willing to learn and to share his knowledge with you.
All teachers adapt to the students who come to class, either a beginners class or a more vigorous vinyasa flow class.
